Каким образом было преодолено “табачное” лобби в Конгрессе?

Если я не ошибаюсь, Обама до сих пор является курильщиком. Кстати, он, как мне кажется, первый “курящий” Президент США. В “Белом Доме”, из-за него, были созданы “места для курения”.

Занятная новость про английский язык.

В английском языке появилось миллионные слово, пишет The Times, ссылаясь на данные веб-сайта, наблюдающего за появлением новых слов, – Global Language Monitor.

“Миллионное слово – это веха, которая свидетельствует о наступлении эры английского как первого по-настоящему мирового языка”, – отметил Пол Пейяк, президент и главный аналитик Global Language Monitor.
