Безработица растет. Цифры

Сегодня были опубликованы данные по безработице в США.

Безработица в США уже достигла 9.5%. Количество безработных уже перевалило за 14,5 миллионов человек.

UNEMPLOYMENT rates in both the US and the 16 Euro countries have reached 9.5 per cent, as companies continue to cut jobs due to the economic crisis.

In the US, employers shed 467,000 jobs in June, pushing the unemployment rate up 0.1 points to 9.5 per cent, US Labour Department reported overnight.

The report, one of the best indicators of economic momentum, appeared to dash hopes for a quick turnaround in the labour market, after a moderation in job losses in May.

Analysts had expected a smaller number of 365,000 job losses, but a higher unemployment rate of 9.6 per cent.

However, the agency revised its estimates for May to show fewer job cuts – 322,000 instead of 345,000. But the April figure was revised from a loss of 504,000 to 519,000 jobs.
