После нескольких, очень теплых дней, в Портланде снова наступила весна, более того, уже начинают говорить о “почти рекордных низких температурах” мая. А, в общем-то, ничего необычного, снова льет дождь.
PORTLAND, Ore. — The thermometer only briefly reached 50 degrees Wednesday, breaking the record for the coldest high temperature for this date. The previous coldest high for May 22 was 55 degrees, back in 1980.
The records for coldest high temperatures during the last week of May range from highs of 53 to 57 degrees, althogh the record book shows record-low highs in the 50s as late as June 29th.
Timberline Lodge reported eight inches of new snow and mountain passes from Government Camp to Willamette Pass to Santiam Pass all had snowfall on Wednesday.
Mount Hood campgrounds like Trillium Lake that were bare and brown earlier in the week were also dusted in snow, despite a scheduled opening for the Memorial Day Weekend.
